Girls Inc. of Memphis Goat Fund

On November 10th, 2024, a herd of 9 goats was donated to our youth farm to minimize invasive plant species. On November 27th, we learned that one of our female goats was pregnant. On Thanksgiving, we found our entire herd gone; wild dogs got into their pen and took their lives.

During their brief stay, these amazing creatures won the hearts of our local community and the girls in our after-school program. A local farmer generously donated his time, effort, and herd so that we could work with and learn how to raise livestock. In return, we provided an acre of pasture land for them to graze and play together freely, something he needed help accomplishing in his backyard at home.

We'd like to ask for your help to repay our parent farmer who donated his goats to us. Please help us recover from this tragic loss, rebuild, and prepare for our first growing season since 2020.
